Cindy - 6-9-08

Today I have made the following efforts to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

  1. Sorted through another shelf of old books to allow those I don't need to be passed on to new owners.
  2. Prepared only enough food for a healthy serving at breakfast, carefully putting away remaining ingredients so they wouldn't go to waste.
  3. Put my fruit and vegetable scraps in the compost bin so they can eventually help nourish my garden.
  4. Used the natural light from my windows to keep the lights off as long as possible during the day.
  5. Kept my thermostat set 3 degrees higher than I used to in an effort to save energy (and money).
